Linda Landers has spent the last 25 years creating brand-building
campaigns that resonate with female consumers and help
marketers build stronger brand relationships with women
across many industries. Through the years she has become
an expert on what women – moms, Baby Boomers, Gen
Xers, Millennials – are doing, thinking and buying.
She went from team leader to female business owner in 2006
when she founded Girlpower, a communications consultancy
specializing in helping clients tap the $5 trillion women’s
market.
Prior to launching Girlpower, Linda was a Managing
Partner with PainePR, where she co-chaired the women’s
marketing practice and developed highly strategic and award-winning
programs for a variety of consumer products and services.
She has launched new products, sustained heritage products
and resurrected older products for such brands as Procter & Gamble
(Ivory Soap, Metamucil, Fibersure, Zest, Pert, Old Spice),
Hoover, Hilton Hotels, United Airlines, BabyFirstTV, American
Suzuki Motor Corporation, Polaroid, Four Seasons Hotels,
Kashi, Miller Brewing, Taco Bell and Buena Vista Television.
As a baby boomer, mother and working professional, Linda
understands that “one size doesn’t fit all” when
marketing to women, and believes that marketers need to
target a woman’s individual life stage, rather than
age, in order to position their product in a meaningful
way. She works with clients to create programs that utilize
both traditional and non-traditional PR and marketing strategies,
based on sound research and positioning.
Linda is a member
of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and a
recipient of numerous national and regional industry awards,
including the Silver Anvil, Bronze Anvil, Gold Quill, CIPRA,
PRisms and Protos awards. She lives with her family in
Southern California.
