Though long considered the minority market, women are, in fact, the majority, as represented by the following statistics:

  • Women account for $7 trillion in consumer and business spending
  • They control more than $13 trillion in personal wealth
  • Women comprise 51.4 percent of the U.S. population, and make or influence 85 percent of all purchasing decisions
  • Women are starting their own businesses at twice the rate of men
  • Women control 60 percent of all the wealth in the U.S.
  • Women make 80 percent of healthcare decisions and 68 percent of new car purchase decisions
  • Women are expected to control more than $22 trillion by 2010
